2. Scope of this policy

This policy describes the data processing of this information offering. MetricsStudio itself is a Windows application installed locally on your machine, with no server operation by us — there is no user account, no cloud synchronization, and no central database. Your settings and recorded measurements remain exclusively on the machine running the application.

4. Accessing this information offering

When you access these pages, the web server automatically processes technical access information (including IP address, date/time, page requested, browser/operating system identifier), as is technically necessary for any web server operation. This information is used exclusively to ensure the secure and stable operation of the pages and is not combined with other data sources. No analytics or tracking cookies and no external analytics services are used — these pages contain no login and no user accounts.

5. Local data storage by the application

MetricsStudio stores settings, tile configuration, and recorded measurements exclusively locally under %AppData%\MetricsStudio on your machine. As the manufacturer, we never have access to this data — no automatic transmission to us takes place.

6. Processing when monitoring via the RemoteAgent

When you use MetricsStudio to watch a process or computer via the MetricsStudio.RemoteAgent installed on another machine, the measurements collected (CPU, memory, and network metrics) are transmitted directly between your machine and the target machine within your network. This data never passes through INSPIRED SOFTWARE servers and is neither viewed nor stored by us.

7. Processing during license activation

When you activate a license, MetricsStudio transmits a hardware fingerprint of your device and the license key encrypted (HTTPS) to the INSPIRED SOFTWARE license server (inspiredsoftware.de) to associate the license with that device. At no point are measurements or tile configurations transmitted. If no license is activated, no such transmission takes place.

8. No telemetry

MetricsStudio does not send usage statistics, crash reports, or any other telemetry data to us or third parties. Network access by the application is limited to the actions described in points 6 and 7, actively triggered by you.

9. Retention period

Since all settings and measurement data are stored exclusively on your own machine, you decide the retention period yourself — for example, by deleting individual recordings directly in the application or the application data folder in the file system.

10. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be adjusted if the data processing changes. The current version is always available on this page.
