Small settings with a big effect — from sensible thresholds to exporting for sharing.
A threshold set too low will keep the tile colored constantly and lose its usefulness. Observe a target's normal load range for a few minutes first before setting the warning threshold.
Tip: For server processes, a threshold just above the usual peak load usually works better than one above the average.
Tiles can be freely reordered with up/down buttons. With many targets watched at once, it's worth placing critical processes or servers at the top so they stay visible without scrolling.
A short time window works well for targeted troubleshooting in the moment, while a longer one suits observing slow trends such as gradually rising memory usage.
Tip: The time window applies centrally to all tiles and can be adjusted at any time in the settings.
A single MetricsStudio.RemoteAgent on a target machine is enough to simultaneously watch multiple processes AND the entire machine — no need to install the agent more than once on the same machine.
The HTML export of a recording can be shared directly via email or chat and opened in a browser — even on machines without MetricsStudio installed.
